The Signs Recognition Test
The North Carolina NCDOT driver license test has two parts. Your knowledge about common road rules and North Carolina traffic laws is tested in a 25-question written test. In a second part you are asked to identify common road signs by shape, color, and/or text and symbols.
The signs recognition test has 12 questions and you must correctly identify at least 9 signs. All signs on the test are shown in the North Carolina Driver’s Manual.
